2012 Reading List

| No TrackBacks
I have decided to read from a reading list this year.  I go back and forth on this issue, but I think this year that there are books I want to read, recommendations that I have been given, that I don't want to forget or put on a list to never see the light of day again.

I decided to make the list in 3 parts:  12 books off my "to be read" shelves.  12 books for my book club.  12 books from my "people have told me about these and I want to read them" list.  Since I normally read more than 36 books a year, this still gives me space for my Dresden File books and others that fall my way during the year.

I can't guarantee that I'll stick with the plan, but at least I have one.  And I'll HAVE to stick to the book club ones!  So, here's the 2012 list:

Off my shelves:

Home by Marilynne Robinson
The Risk Pool by Richard Russo
Angle of Repose by Wallace Stegner

Thirty-nine books total on the list.  While I know some of them are loooooong (Pickwick, I'm looking at you) others are quick and fun reads.  Off to read a little bit now, while babysitting.
